The Annual Club Awards Dinner and Dance was held on Friday
the 19th October 2007 at the Holiday Inn, Farnborough. Very
well attended, it was a rapturous success with everyone
having a great time.

For the first time in many years all the awards were able to
be made this year, including two new ones. The first
generously donated and presented by the widow of that old
stalwart, Frank Hooley, who sadly passed away this year, was
the Fair play award, which was won by Mike Gray. The second
new award was a one off, presented by the President, Mr Mike
Cox, to Nick Cornell, much to the amusement of all.

One of the newest additions to the club's social membership
made a belated entrance as Daisy Elspeth Pretty attracted a
great deal of interest.

The evening finished off with a great disco, but a number of
people commented on the adverse effect on the party
atmosphere that the smoking ban had on the later stages of
the evening.
