FANTASY LEAGUE RULES
1. The competition will be called the Frimley Cricket
Club (FCC) Fantasy League (FCCFL).
2. All rules and regulations of the FCCFL are governed by the executive committee
of FCC and all entrants agree to abide by them. In the event of dispute the decision
of the committee will be final and binding.
3. The cost of entry will be decided at the start of each season and will consist of
two elements being contributions to the funds of FCC. The first element being four
monthly (May to August) contributions and the second being a season's
contribution which will be double the amount of one month's contribution. Entry
will be accepted at any time up until the last May Saturday League fixture.
4. There will be five league prize distributions, one for each month and one for the
total season. The monthly prizes will consist of a first, second and third award being
35%, 20% and 10% of that month's contributions. The total season prizes will consist
of a first, second and third award being 35%, 20% and 10% of the total season
contributions. The winners will be the teams that score the most points in all matches
for the specified period.
5. 5% of both the monthly and season contributions will be used as to 2/3rds for a knockout
cup competition and 1/3rd for a knock out plate competition. All league entrants will be
eligible for the Cup and all teams knocked out of the first round of the cup will be entered
for the plate.
6. All prescheduled FCC matches will count, games in April will count towards May and
in September towards August.
7. Teams will be drawn monthly at random from rated players of FCC
and will consist of at least four bowlers and at least six batsmen. Any team
names can be chosen, providing they do not use obscenities, either real or
implied. Rated players are decided on the previous season's performance or, in
exceptional circumstances, committee decision. All players will be considered as
bowlers if they bowled over 80 overs in qualifying matches, or as batsmen if
they had over 8 innings in qualifying matches. Entrants who are rated players
will automatically be playing captains of their team. Entrants who are playing
members but not rated players can choose whether to be playing captains or not.
Every effort will be made to use every rated player equally whilst strictly
observing the preceding statements of this rule.
8. Points will be awarded on the following basis:-
Batting:- 1 point per run.
5 point bonus for every completed 50.
Bowling:- 10 points for every wicket (bowler, catch, stumping).
10 point bonus for each wicket over four.
40 point bonus for all 10 wickets.
